Memorial seat
As a commemoration for eight members of the village who died the Parish Council organised a memorial circular seat
During 2005 eight members of the village died which was a quite extraordinary number in one year. As a commemoration the Parish Council organised a memorial circular seat on the Three Tuns Green when familes and friends gathered to declare it officially ‘open’.In 2019 the original seat was showing signs of deterioration and the Parish council decided it had to be replaced. In November 2019 a lovely new teak circular seat was put in place and as many relatives and friends of those original familes were invited to a ‘get-together’ again and then we repaired to the pub for an excellent light lunch and drinks.
